Wedinsure is a trading name of Insuremore Ltd, (collectively referred to as “Wedinsure”, “we”, “us” and “our” in this Privacy Policy) that is registered in England No. 10525133. We are the data controller and we process your personal data in accordance with the relevant data protection legislation to provide you with the products and services you purchase from us.
What information do we collect?
When you visit the Wedinsure website to purchase a policy we collect some personal information about you that you input directly into the website. This information includes personal details such as your names, address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, salutation, wedding dates, wedding venues and your marketing preferences.
How we use the information we collect about you?
We collect and process the information about you so that we can provide you with the products and services you request. This includes:
- meeting our contractual obligations to you
- issuing you with an insurance policy
- servicing your policy (including claims assistance, policy administration, payments and other transactions)
- detecting, investigating and preventing activities which may be illegal or could result in your policy being cancelled or treated as if it never existed
- and, only if you agree, to contact you regarding other products and services that we think may be of interest to you
When you purchase a wedding insurance product or service through us, your personal information may be shared with and processed by our associated companies, introducers, insurers, intermediaries, brokers and agencies for the purposes of administration, including third parties providing services to them. In these circumstances, we have strict contractual terms in place, to make sure that your information remains safe and secure.
When you purchase a policy from us we share your name and email address with Feefo, just for the purposes of requesting customer feedback on our behalf so that we can continually improve our products and services. If you provide information about anyone else, you confirm that they have agreed that you may give us their information for the reasons described in this privacy policy.
We may also provide your personal details to our regulators (e.g. the Financial Conduct Authority) or other law enforcement bodies if we are legally required to do so.
Please note: We will never sell or share your information with anyone else for their marketing purposes.
How we store and protect your information
All personal information collected by us is stored on secure servers and might be transferred outside the UK and European Economic Area but only where appropriate contractual obligations of adequate protection are in place. When you input information on our website the data is transferred to us securely. You will see that the website shows a green padlock and the website address begins with “https”. We also have security measures in place in our offices to protect the information that you have given us.
We will need to keep and process your personal information while you are a customer of ours and for a period after this time so that we can meet our regulatory obligations, deal with any reasonable requests from our regulators and other authorities and for statistical analysis purposes.
